Sun Hit
Sun hit was sculpted in the winter of 2017. One can feel the deliberated decisions revealed in the applied wax, as Holly discovers form in the piece. The structure and surface revealed in the syntax has become Holly’s unique language. The consequence of this language is a beautifully revealed seasoned hunter, relaxed yet attentive with ears piqued ready to ‘crack on’, eager for the coming ride.
“This project enabled me to immerse myself in an in-depth study to catch a likeness of a working hunter. As a part of my source material I was given a strong narrative of a memory from the client, this created a brief in an organic way and lead the composition of the pose.”
